Two people are recovering from injuries sustained during a shooting at an apartment complex early Friday morning.
Tulsa Police responded to the Comanche Park Apartments near 36th and North Peoria just after midnight. Officers found a woman shot in the leg and rendered aid until paramedics could arrive.
Officers later learned a second victim, who was driven to the hospital, was shot multiple times in the chest. Both victims are in serious but stable condition.
According to police, witnesses said the shooting happened after a confrontation at a nearby store. A suspect from the store reportedly the male victim to his girlfriend's apartment and opened fire at the front door.
Officers found several different shell casings that suggest a back and forth gun battle had taken place. Witnesses told police they heard upwards of 16 shots but no one saw the shooting happen.
Several vehicles and apartments were hit by bullets but no one was injured.
Police have not made any arrests.
