Two people in custody after midtown Tulsa bank robbery, police say

TULSA — Two people were taken into custody after they robbed a midtown Tulsa bank on Wednesday.

The incident happened at Arvest Bank at 4825 East 36th Street.

Police say a man and a woman got away with about $1,000 in cash. The man, identified as Thomas Dean, 50, was apprehended while trying to check into a hotel, and the woman was caught hiding in nearby bushes, police said.

The money was recovered.
