TULSA — Two men were arrested early Thursday morning after a short pursuit near the Tulsa International Airport.
Police said a white Cadillac that the two men were inside had driven off the roadway on the north side of East Apache Street. The driver was identified as Ray Marion, 42, and the passenger was identified as Leonard Cozart, 50.
Police said Marion had an outstanding misdemeanor warrant, and Cozart had a felony warrant.
Airport police attempted to arrest them, but Marion fled southbound on foot to the Hertz and Avis rental business at 2110 North 73rd East Avenue, police said.
Marion scaled an eight-foot chain link fence, and found a rental vehicle that had keys inside, police said. Officers said the man began driving the vehicle around the interior of the Hertz rental property, but he was unable to exit.
Ultimately, Marion was taken into custody. Marion suffered an injury while climbing the fence, and was taken to the hospital prior to being booked on counts of attempting to escape arrest, resisting arrest and larceny. Cozart was taken to a hospital due to high blood sugar and chest pains prior to being booked on his warrant.
