TULSA, Okla. — With winter weather in the forecast, lots of people are doing what they can to prepare.
Tulsa's Westlake Ace Hardware store was busy this afternoon in Brookside.
Customers were picking up things like ice melt, scrapers and snow shovels.
The employees who work there say when it comes to ice melt, it's best to get it down early before the snow falls.
"Its easier to keep it under control that way," said Corey Gomez with Westlake Ace Hardware. "Dont wait to shop for the items, because it's not safe to drive in that kind of weather. It's always safest to be preventative instead of reactive."
They say there's even certain kinds of ice melt now that won't hurt your driveway or your pets' paws.
