It’s a weekend full of fun and tough competition.

Tulsa Tough draws competitive cyclists from all over the world, but tonight, one local racer is a champion!

The races tonight are the kick off—four categories ranging from amateur to pro racing.

Tonight—one local Tulsan got his big win in front of his hometown crowd.

For 40 minutes.

Lap after lap around Tulsa's historic blue dome district.

Austin Edgar, who is on Team Soundpony, pedaled and pedaled to the front.

"I always try to stay in the top 10," Edgar said. "Even if you get pushed back, you fight back,”

"Every corner I could hear my name and I thought, I felt like I wanted to die," Edgar said. "You see why people win more games at home. When you hear that cheering you go that much harder, that much longer!”

Edgar now part of a group of Tulsans who owned it a Tulsa Tough.

Its the local cycling community and teammates he credits for his success.

"Every ride I get dropped for two years and every time they give me a little bit of advice and I just got better and better," Edgar said.

Edgar and everyone else will battle it out tomorrow in the Tulsa Arts District.
