TULSA — Tulsa Zoo announced they will be welcoming guests beginning May 25.

Officials say the zoo will be opened to the general public starting on June 1, with a members-only "thank you week" starting May 25.

Officials say that all guests are going to be required to reserve their tickets in advance online for a three-hour visit.

“Our priority is to keep everyone within our gates healthy and safe while providing a fun and educational environment,” Correll says. “The changes we make, including a phased reintroduction of some indoor spaces and experiences where guests gather, will allow us to provide the proper safeguards.”

Tulsa Zoo is limiting the amount of people on their grounds, minimizing touch points and have proper social distancing. Officials say they will be increasing their cleaning protocols as well.

“We’ve seen from our peer zoos and aquariums that no reopening plan can account for every circumstance, so we all will continue to be flexible and learn together as we move toward a new normal.”
