The Tulsa Volleyball League's annual Proceeds for Pets Benefit Volleyball Tournament took place Sunday.
All donations for the ProPETs Tournament went to a local animal shelter to help pets in need. This year the Tulsa Volleyball League partnered with the Humane Society of Tulsa.
Participants gathered at the volleyball courts on Riverside for the games.
Cash donations, puppy specific food, kitten specific food, wet dog food, and paper towels were just a few of the things the group was able to collect for donations.
The Humane Society of Tulsa set up a table at the tournament to provide information and even had pets that were up for adoption.
George Prather with the Tulsa Volleyball League tells us, "We received $1,200 from player registrations, plus another $120 that people dropped by the Humane Society's table. Many players also donated several bags of dog food, cat food, and cases of paper towels that the society had expressed they were in need of for cleaning purposes."
