TULSA — On Sunday, Sept. 15, Tulsa Transit will be doing a practice "dry run" in preparations for the launch of the new bus routes.

Officials say the dry run is to allow drivers a chance to get acquainted with the new bus routes.

The new bus routes go into effect on Sept. 23, officials say.

Officials say the dry run will take place between the hours of 9 a.m. and 12:30 p.m

Officials did note:

  • The test buses will not be picking up passengers.
  • Regular Sunday service will be boarding on the north side of 4th Street between Denver and Cheyenne (adjacent to the Denver Avenue Station); in the afternoon, following the test run, they will return to their usual assigned bays at the Denver Avenue Station.
  • Two travel lanes on 4th Street will be closed with no parking allowed along the north curb of 4th Street. This is to provide space for the regular Sunday service.
