TULSA -- Tulsa has been selected to host March Madness once again in 2019.

The NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Tournament will be held at the BOK Center.  The tournament has been held at the BOK Center twice before, including this past March.

Jeff Nickler, the general manager of the BOK Center, released the following statement:

“We're thrilled to once again welcome March Madness to the BOK Center. The energy downtown at this year’s tournament was palpable, and we aim to create another memorable experience for Tulsans and visiting fans in 2019."

Vince Trinidad, the executive director of the Tulsa Sports Commission, said the following:

"On behalf of the Tulsa Sports Commission, we could not be more pleased that the NCAA and the bid committee members trust our organization to host March Madness again in just two years. This is only the second time the NCAA has conducted a four-year bid cycle, and this announcement builds on Tulsa’s previous successes hosting NCAA Division I championships in golf, tennis and basketball. We would like to thank our partners at SMG/BOK Center and the University of Tulsa for their vital support. We hope the community shares our pride in being a great sporting destination.”
