Tulsa students to welcome students from Israeli sister city

Posted

Tulsa Public Schools students will be meeting students from Israel on Thursday morning, another chapter in the district’s diversity outreach.

Over breakfast, Carver Middle School students will welcome an eight-person delegation from Nofarim High School in Tiberias, Israel.

Six students and two teachers from Carver will travel to Israel during Spring Break. The annual exchange program is part of a 20-year partnership between Tulsa and its sister city Tiberias.

“The goal of this program is to expose students to diverse cultures and further enrich their understanding of our world,” a TPS spokesperson said.
