Tulsa stops to remember Prince

As many around the nation and the world stopped to mourn the loss of Prince at age 57 Thursday, Tulsa was no exception.

From radio stations to even church billboards, many shared their favorite songs and memories of the musical icon.

Dave Austin at BOB FM who has been playing 80s music since its fruition talked about his initial reaction to the news.

“I had the same reaction everybody did, you know shock.”

Tulsa pop artist Stevie Cluck who was inspired by Prince’s experimental flair and his focus on peace and love talked of seeing the star in concert.

“I'm just really thankful that he's put out music we all enjoy and I hope we all get out our prince records and enjoy them today.”
