TULSA -- In less than a week Tulsa is expecting more than one million visitors for one of the biggest events in the state.

Crews started setting up at the fairgrounds a month ago for the Tulsa State Fair. Despite the rain they were out and about today, making the final touches on the rides and food stands.

This year six new rides are featured in the Family Fun Zone.

They're also hoping to finish a new barn with nearly 400 stalls for extra space for farm animals, before the fair starts.

Crowds will also see new fair food, and entertainment at the brand new Oklahoma stage.

"You don’t have to go to different parts of Oklahoma, all of that experience for the rides, the food, the Oklahoma items are right here at the Tulsa State Fair," said Kelsey Parcell, Special Events Coordinator for the Tulsa State Fair.

Gates open on Thursday, September 27th at 11 a.m. You can check out their website for scheduling information.

Be sure to stop by at the Two Works For You booth inside the River Spirit Expo Center while you're enjoying the fair.
