Tulsa's Salvation Army partnered up with Westlake Ace Hardware store to donate new box fans to families in need.
On Wednesday morning, the Brookside store's employees helped load a Salvation Army truck with nine pallets carrying 373 new fans. These fans were purchased through more than $4,000 that customers donated at the store, plus an additional 50 fans the store provided.
The nonprofit organization says it helps about 2,500 people during this program. Families qualify based on income.
