The results are in for the Cherokee Nation election, according to a press release by Mike Neal, president and CEO of the Tulsa Regional Chamber.

Chuck Hoskin Jr. will become the the next Principal Chief of the Cherokee Nation, and Bryan Warner was elected as Deputy Principal Chief.

“The Cherokee Nation and the Tulsa Regional Chamber have enjoyed a lengthy history of collaboration and partnership spanning a wide variety of economic development, workforce and tourism projects. The Cherokee Nation has been an integral partner in creating jobs, attracting talent, and elevating our region as a sports destination.

“We would not have attracted world-class employers such as Macy’s, Greenheck Group, Amazon and Sofidel, or hosted marquee sporting events like the Bassmaster Classic, without the Cherokee Nation’s help. The growth our region has experienced during the past decade would simply not have been possible without the Cherokee Nation.

“We thank Chief Bill John Baker for all he has done during his tenure to move northeast Oklahoma and the Cherokee Nation forward, and we look forward to continuing a strong partnership during the transition and into the new administration.”
