Tulsa Public Schools are closed Tuesday due to a continuing severe weather threat in the area.

School officials released the following statement:
Tulsa families and team members: nothing is more important to us than keeping you and your children safe and healthy. Based on the instability of the weather patterns, flooding in our neighborhoods, and current road conditions, all schools will be CLOSED on Tuesday, May 21. Students will not have to make this day up, and the last day of school for students will still be on Wednesday, May 22. We will send additional information about contract days to teachers and support staff later today.
Our district offices will operate with a two and a half hour delay, opening at 10:30am. All district office employees should plan to report to work at 10:30am. Please use extreme caution while traveling, take your time, and be safe.
