TULSA, Okla. - Tulsa Police say a man finally walked down from a 40-foot sign over Highway 11 and Harvard Ave a little after 7 a.m.
He was over the highway since around 7 p.m. Wednesday.
TPD officers say the man continued to balk at their requests to come down three hours after making his climb.
The on-ramp from Harvard onto Highway 11 was shut down as officers converged on the scene and remained closed around 10 p.m.
The man was checked out by EMSA, given food and water, and then he was transferred to a medical facility for mental health evaluation.
