Tulsa Police to hold first ever Diversity in Policing recruiting event

TULSA, Okla. — Tulsa Police is holding its first ever Diversity in Policing recruiting event to attract more minorities to the police department.

The event will be held on Saturday, January 18 from 10 a.m to 6 p.m. at the Tulsa Police Academy.

The event is aimed at giving participants a glimpse of the training officers receive and address any questions and concerns. There will be a Q&A session with TPD officers, firearms training, an obstacle course, a K9 presentation and more.

It's free to register and lunch will be provided to participants.

There are still a few slots open, but space will be limited.

Anyone interested in participating can email Officer Randall Armstrong at rarmstrong@cityoftulsa.org to request registration information.
