TULSA — The Tulsa Police Department says it will focus on speeding and hazardous moving violations on expressways throughout the city during July.

Tulsa police traffic officers and motorcycle officers will be randomly monitoring expressways within the city,

A citation issued for speeding or a hazardous moving violation carries a fine of $150-$500 and/or 10 days in jail. No warnings will be issued, police say.

The department says its goal is to reduce the frequency and severity of serious and deadly crashes on expressways.
