TULSA — Officers responded to a call early Thursday morning and found a victim had been assaulted, robbed near East Apache and North Yale Avenue.

Officers say a woman jumped into the victim's vehicle, took his phone, and ran away. The victim proceeded to follow the woman, stopped and left his truck to confront her.

Officers say two men got out of another vehicle and attacked the victim, choking him until he was unconscious. The men took the victim's wallet and his truck.

Officers say when they located the victim's truck, several people were gathered around it. A man tried to drive away in the truck before he stopped and began fleeing on foot.

Officers say they were able to detain a woman. The driver was never located despite the efforts of a K9 and helicopter search.

The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
