TULSA, Okla. — Tulsa police are investigating after a shooting and standoff lead to the death of two men.

It happened near North Lewis and Admiral Place on Sunday, Sept. 27. When police arrived on scene, just before 8:00 a.m., they found the victim, Zachary Rivera, dead from gunshot wounds.

Witnesses saw the suspect, Jeyhun Valizada, and Rivera getting into a dispute over loud music.

Valizada and Rivera lived in the same duplex and shared a wall. When Rivera went next door to talk to his neighbor, Valizada shot and killed Rivera.

Tulsa police made contact with Valizada who refused to come out of the residence. The Special Operations Team was called to the scene to assist police.

When SOT personnel gained entry into the home, they found Valizada dead from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Officials said this is still an active investigation, we will update when new information becomes available.
