TULSA — Tulsa Police Officers responded to 1818 E. 71st street for reports of a shooting.

Calls came in that there were gunshots and yells for help.

We spoke to a resident, Darrell Gregory, who says he has lived at the apartments for two years and this isn't the first time something like this has happened.

Gregory says none of his neighbors recognized the woman and now is concerned for his safety.

"It seems to be an uptake of things happening in this part of town so it's very concerning that something like this would happen so close," Gregory said.

"All I know is that a woman had come out screaming call 9-1-1 and then she took off. We just talked to a detective who said that's who they are looking for but nobody here recognized who she was," Gregory said.

Officials confirm that the victim has died as a result of the shooting.

Jason White, Tulsa Homicide Detective, tells us "We did find a deceased male with an apparent gun shot wound at his apartment so I would encourage anybody that may have seen a white female, possibly accompanied by a white male leave from this area to call police".

Police are still investigating and we will update as more information becomes available.
