TULSA - One person is dead after a motorcycle wreck in south Tulsa, Friday afternoon.

Tulsa police responded to the wreck near 106th Street and South Memorial just after 4 p.m.

They say a 22-year-old man was riding his motorcycle when a truck crossed the southbound lanes to make a left. The motorcyclist slammed on the brakes and flew off of his vehicle, sliding into the truck.

The motorcyclist was transported to the hospital and later pronounced dead.

Police say the motorcycle driver was likely speeding. No citations were given to the driver in the truck.

All southbound lanes were closed while police investigated the scene. Traffic was diverted through a nearby shopping center.

All lanes were opened later Friday evening.
