The two Tulsa police officers involved in the deadly shooting Monday have been identified.

Officer Richard Urban, 39, and Officer Jerod Lum, 31, were the officers who opened fire on a suspect they say charged at them with an axe.

Police say the situation started as a domestic dispute call. A woman called 911 saying that she was scared for her life.

TPD says when the officers arrived, they found a man, Jerry L. Brimer, with an axe and the woman who called in her car. They went on to report that when officers arrived, a man with an axe started to come at them.

Both officers on scene then reportedly opened fire on Brimer.

TPD went on to confirm that both officers are now on administrative leave.
