Tulsa police officer arrested, accused of pawning weapons

TULSA - A Tulsa police officer accused of selling guns to a pawn shop was arrested Monday. 

Tulsa police arrested Officer Michael Thompson at his home Monday night for an incident that happened in May. 

Thompson is accused of selling two police-issued weapons to the EZ Pawn near 21st Street and Sheridan Road. According to a police report, the pawn shop then contacted police to say that someone sold a shotgun and a pistol to them. 

The 35-year-old officer has been with the Tulsa Police Department since November 2006. He has been suspended with pay, pending an investigation.
