Tulsa police: North Tulsa man walks out to front porch after hearing gunshots, is shot in the leg

A Tulsa man is recovering after being shot in the leg while standing on his front porch.

Tulsa police say the shooting happened shortly after 12 a.m. Tuesday at a home neat East Apache Street and North Garnett Road.

The 31-year-old victim told police that he stepped out to his front porch after hearing gunshots close to him.

After not finding anything, the man turned to go back inside his house. Then, he was shot in his right upper leg, according to police.

Police investigated the shooting but did not find any bullet holes in the man's home or shell casings near it.

They have no suspect information at this time.

The victim is in stable condition, according to police.
