TULSA -- A man was arrested Tuesday after police say he allegedly stole a vehicle, then ran from police and hid in a storage closet.

Around 2:20 in the afternoon Tuesday, police noticed a stolen vehicle in the parking lot of a hotel on the 8100 block of East Skelly Drive.

After the suspect drove away from the hotel, police tried to pull the man over when he jumped out of the vehicle and ran through a breezeway.

Police say the man then ran into the lobby of the hotel and tried to hide in a storage closet. Officers then used pepper spray and the suspect, James Scism, surrendered peacefully.

Scism was arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle and resisting arrest as well as several other charges.
