TULSA, Okla. - Police are investigating after a body was found outside a South Tulsa apartment complex early Thursday morning.
Police say a resident noticed a man in the bushes just before 3 a.m. at the complex near 67th and South Lewis Avenue.
Officers responded and found the man dead from a gunshot wound.
Captain Malcolm Wightman with the Tulsa Police Department said they don't know yet when the shooting happened or what type of gun was used.
"There were multiple shots fired based on the evidence we recovered at the scene but at this time we only see one hit," Captain Wightman said.
Police say it doesn't appear the man's body was hidden in the bushes.
So far, no arrests have been made.
Officers responded to the same apartment complex several hours earlier after reports of shots fired, but didn't find a victim at that time.
