Tulsa Police investigate pair of armed robberies

Posted

Tulsa Police investigators are working to learn if the robberies within an hour of each other are connected or just coincidence.

The first one happened around 11 p.m. at Sonic Drive-in near 15th and South Lewis while the restaurant was still open.

The suspect pointed a gun at employees and demanded money from the register before running off. No one was hurt.

The second robbery happened at the Dollar General near 21st and South Garnett.

Police say four suspects approached two employees as they were leaving. They forced the workers back into the store at gunpoint and demanded cash.

The group stole an undisclosed amount of cash and left the store in a dark colored SUV.
