TULSA -- One officer is on paid leave Monday following a deadly officer-involved shooting Sunday night.
Officers say around 8 p.m., a man tried to get inside a home near Pine and Delaware, but the homeowner refused to let him in.
When police arrived, the suspect, Michael Ramsey, 43, was armed with two knives and did not comply with officers demands to drop them.
Officers attempted to use a taser on Ramsey, but it was ineffective.
Police say Ramsey then threw what was later determined as a screwdriver towards two of the police officers. According to police, a third officer, Stephen Blaylock, then shot the man.
Ramsey was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Right now, police are trying to determine why the taser they used didn't work. Police say Blaylock was placed on administrative leave with pay.
The other two officers will remain on duty, according to Tulsa police.
