Man calls police after finding stranger in home

TULSA – One man is recovering after waking up to find a stranger in his home.

Tulsa police say they were called to 2621 N. Madison Avenue to investigate a report of an armed robbery. When they arrived, it was discovered that the suspect was not armed. 

The owner of the residence told police that he was in bed when he heard noise in the other bedroom. He went to investigate and encountered an intruder that appeared to have crawled through the window.

According to the owner, a struggle ensued leaving scrapes on the owner’s left arm and right thigh. The suspect fled the scene before officers could arrive.

Police say the owner did not require immediate medical attention and was not transported to a nearby hospital.
