TULSA – A father called police Monday after receiving a threatening phone call from suspects who claimed they kidnapped his son.

Tulsa police say they were called to 5000 S. Peoria Avenue after a man called and said he received a phone call instructing him to bring money to a certain location or the caller would “off” his son.

Officers were able to detect a suspicious vehicle in the area that led them to recover the victim safely.

According to the victim, he was taken against his will from his apartment and threatened unless he paid a debt of money.

Tulsa police detained the two suspects, Jeremiah Jones and Joshua Bruce, who were both arrested on complaint of kidnapping. Jones was also arrested on complaint of assault and battery with a deadly weapon, no drivers' license and speeding. Bruce was also arrested on complaint of assault with a deadly weapon.
