Early Sunday morning, Tulsa Police were in area of 1st and Elgin in downtown Tulsa as bars began to let out.
During a routine patrol officers noticed a male was chasing another male towards a parking lot.
When police intervened they learned that the suspect, Juan Medrano, had allegedly assaulted and robbed an individual in a wheelchair.
Medrano attempted to resist arrest by grabbing an officers leg, but was quickly subdued.
While police were interviewing witnesses they learned that Medrano grabbed the victim's gold chain and pulled him out of his wheelchair.
One of the witnesses saw this altercation and began to give chase after Medrano before police apprehended him.
Juan Medrano was arrested on charges of 2nd degree robbery, larceny from a person, possession of a firearm, false impersonation, possession of marijuana, obstruct with a police officer, and impersonating a police officer.
