Tulsa Police arrest man, Jose Bautista, for possession of 35 pounds of marijuana in trash can

TULSA - Police discovered more than 35 pounds of marijuana while searching a residence for a gun Wednesday night.

Jose Bautista was arrested for possession of marijuana and trafficking marijuana, among other offenses.

According to police, Bautista pointed a gun at the mother of his child and her friend when the pair showed up demanding money from him at a house on the 1000 block of N. Quaker Ave.

Bautista's girlfriend allowed officers to search the home for the gun and while inside they discovered a 55-gallon trash can of marijuana. The total amount of marijuana was 35.3 pounds. Police also found the gun.

Bautista has previous felony convictions and felony warrants in Kansas. He also has warrants from Tulsa County.

Bautista was booked into the county jail and is on hold for Sedgwick County officials in Kansas.
