Driver arrested in N. Tulsa police chase

Tulsa Police arrested a man for driving a stolen vehicle and leading police on a chase in north Tulsa.

An officer saw the driver of a white Lexus run a stop sign at Delaware and Independence at 12:40 a.m.

He tried to stop the driver, but he sped away eventually losing the officer.

Police used a helicopter and K-9 units to track him.

One of the police dogs found him hiding in someone's backyard near the stolen car.

Police say the driver crashed into a parked car in the neighborhood. There was also a passenger inside the vehicle.

The passenger was taken to the hospital to be checked out for back problems, but he was not arrested.

The driver of the vehicle was also transported to the hospital to be checked out, but it appears he has no injuries.

He will be arrested for being in possession of drug paraphernalia. 

Both admitted to police they had used methamphetamine all day.
