Authorities are searching for the driver responsible for crashing into a juvenile and fleeing the scene.
Tulsa police say the wreck occurred at midnight near 81st and Sheridan when a driver struck the victim westbound on 81st Street.
Witnesses describe a dark-colored truck, possibly a Chevy.
They say the victim rolled on the ground for several feet. Witnesses stopped to help and performed CPR until EMSA arrived. Currently the victim is said to be in stable condition and is expected to survive.
"Our primary responsibility is life. We can work collision and find suspect later and deal with that. Save a life is top priority,” said Sgt. Darren Bristow, TPD.
Anyone with information on the accident is asked to call police.
