Tulsa police officers are searching for a man who tried to run over two officers Monday night.

Captain Seibert says a team from the Special Investigation Division was following up on a human trafficking case at the Motel 6 near Skelly Drive and 27th Street.

The undercover officers were trying to identify a suspect and approached a man in the motel's parking lot. After they identified themselves, the man hit one of the officers with his vehicle and the officer fired at the suspect.

Then, the man drove away.

About three miles from the motel at the Shadow Mountain apartments, another police officer located the vehicle. When he got out of his patrol car to make sure it was the right vehicle they were searching for, the man tried to run him over as well.

The officer then shot at the suspect several times, but the suspect got away again.

Around 3 a.m. on Tuesday, Tulsa police officers found the vehicle's car at the Lakeside Apartments in east Tulsa, but the man was not inside.

Officers continue their search for the suspect, but they cannot provide any description because of the nature of the investigation.
