TULSA -- A 4-year-old was transported to the hospital after being struck by a vehicle Saturday night, say police.

Police responded to 721 South 101st East Avenue to investigate a collision around 8 p.m Saturday. When they arrived, police spoke with a passenger of a vehicle who claimed the man driving hit a 4-year-old and fled the scene.

A short while later, police located a man later identified as Selvin Sacreno, 21, running in the area.

Sacreno was arrested and according to police, admitted to hitting the 4-year-old before fleeing the scene. Sacreno was booked on complaints of hit and run with injury.

The 4-year-old was taken to the hospital in unknown condition, say police.
