The City of Tulsa's snow plow crews are ready and on standby for winter weather.
12,000 tons of salt are at the plow crews' disposal according to Tim McCorkell.
The city has 55 trucks ready to roll if the snow starts to fall.
Because of the rain predicted with the winter storm, McCorkell said crews won't be putting down its brine solution to pretreat the roads.
That solution helps with deicing the roads before the ice even hits, but it washes away if its mostly a rain event.
