Tulsa native woman abandoned at birth learns more about family on ‘Dr. Oz' show

TULSA – After searching for nearly 20 years, a Tulsa woman who was abandoned at birth finally some of the answers she was looking for.

Amy Cox was left in a phone booth at the Tulsa State Fairgrounds in 1978 and grew up in Oklahoma. She was adopted by a family in Hartshorne, Oklahoma and later moved to Los Angeles.

On Wednesday, through a spit DNA test Dr. Oz helped answer many of the questions Cox has been searching for in regards to her birth family.
