Someone from the Tulsa area helped with the vocals for one of the newer characters to appear in the upcoming Star Wars movie.
The character is a droid named BB-8 and former SNL cast member Bill Hader was a vocal consultant for the little droid.
According to Collider.com, Hader said "[It was] J.J. f****** around with this sound effects app on his iPad that was attached to a talk box operated by me. It looked ridiculous but it made BB-8’s voice. At first I tried doing a voice, but we all agreed it sounded too human.”
