TULSA – The mother accused of killing her 7-month-old son is due in court this week.
Ruth Ann Lewis is scheduled to be arraigned on charges of child abuse murder and child neglect after her son Zayden Meyers died from a brain injury.
Tulsa investigators believe that Lewis shook her son and pushed him to the ground, causing the injury.
2 Works for You spoke with some of Lewis’ friends who said they realized she was struggling, and wondered if asking for help could've saved Zayden's life. Police said Zayden lost his life at the hands of his mother when, according to her statement to investigators, she "just lost it for a minute.”
