Tulsa man pledges to walk 1,400 miles in honor of fallen officers from Baton Rouge, Dallas and KC

TULSA – One man is hiking from Green Country all the way to a national memorial site in memory of the fallen officers from Dallas, Baton Rouge and KC.

Derek Hardin’s Facebook pagesays he is from Tulsa, Oklahoma and is planning to hike all the way from his hometown to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial in Washington D.C. to put down wreaths for the nine fallen officers. 

Hardin says his walk is scheduled to start on September 3 and will span 1,400 miles. Hardin plans to cover between 14 to 18 miles per day, says his Facebook.
