A Tulsa man was out collecting cans, trying to make some money, when thieves stole his truck leaving him stranded.
The very next day, surveillance video on his home shows his own truck backing up his driveway as thieves loaded up his belongings.
Pat Pfitzner, 73, was out making his daily rounds.
"I go from dumpster to dumpster and I round about 60 dumpsters a day," Pfitzner said.
He was out collecting cans to help him pay the bills. Pat says each day he goes about the same routine, that's why what happened threw him for a loop.
As he was going through a dumpster to collect his last cans of the day, he decided to leave his truck running with the keys in the ignition.
"I turned around to get out of the dumpster and it was gone," Pfitzner said. "I was there afoot."
The 73-year old was stranded. Along with his truck, a days worth of collecting cans, also stolen.
"People don't care about people," Pfitzner said.
However, 24-hours later, Pat's truck found it's way home, but with two unwanted guests.
"My step-dad's truck that was just stolen the day before, drove past and stopped and a woman gets out and walks up to the front of the door," Kevin Hudson, Pat's stepson said.
The incident, all caught on surveillance video.
Pfitzner says the video shows a male and female suspect. He thinks they might have found the address of the his home on an insurance card inside the truck.
"They both walk around the house and go to the fence over here and break the fence down," Hudson said.
Video shows the two thieves then broke into the back of the home by kicking in a door.
Footage later shows them stealing a flat screen T.V.
The thieves then took off, again in Pat's truck, a gold 1998 2-door Mazda.
"I think it's ridiculous that someone can just go steal something and not work for it," Hudson said.
Pfitzner and his family are accepting their losses, however they have one message for those who took what wasn't theirs.
"We will be watching and make sure it does not happen again," Hudson said.
