Tulsa man charged with murder after allegedly killing girlfriend at St. Thomas Square apartments

TULSA -- A man has been charged with murder after police say he allegedly killed his girlfriend.

Friday morning, police received a call from EMSA stating that a man called his father saying he had just killed his girlfriend and was going to kill himself.

After police arrived at the St. Thomas Square apartments, Darryll Reed, 30, refused to let police inside his apartment.

After entering the apartment, police found an unresponsive 41-year-old woman. The woman was taken to the hospital where she later died.

Reed was arrested for domestic assault and battery and has now been charged with murder. This is Tulsa's 54th homicide of 2016.
