"Here’s another chance! Might as well get another one," said one buyer.
While those buying tickets are excited about the prospect, those selling the tickets are ready for a winner to be chosen.
"Do I have any vacation days left?" said QuikTrip manager Shawn Skinner.
The Powerball mania has swept the nation and brought some first time ticket purchasers along.
"I don't know what I’m doing," said one Tulsa resident.
Some people are choosing numbers that are significant to them.
"It’s actually my grandfather's numbers," one buyer said. "He used to play before he passed away and so I decided to keep the tradition alive for him and if they were lucky for him, maybe they'll be lucky for me."
While others are letting the machine pick. Everyone has a different set of numbers, but one thing on everyone’s mind is just what you'd do with the money.
"I’d take care of my children first, give them what they want, sell the rest and live around the world," said another Tulsa resident.
"First my heart would have to slow down long enough for me to live through it!" said Randy Vinyard. "It’s a once in a lifetime thing to win something like that, so why not. Ten bucks isn't that bad out of the budget."
Currently the odds of winning the Powerball jackpot are 290 million to one.
