Oklahoma City Police say they have ended a standoff that lasted almost 10 hours after discovering a Tulsa homicide suspect was not in the home.

Officers tried to serve a warrant at a home in northwest Oklahoma City around 11 p.m. Tuesday.

Police thought the suspect, who is considered armed and dangerous, barricaded himself inside the home.

Tulsa homicide detectives say they were told the suspect is 21-year-old William Proctor.

Proctor is wanted for an Oct. 2013 murder during a gun battle near 36th West Avenue and 51st Street.

A warrant for his arrest was issued Tuesday.
