TULSA — Best Buy at Tulsa Hills is closed until further notice after a water main break in the parking lot flooded the store.

The City of Tulsa said an 8 inch water line broke Tuesday afternoon. Crews have been working ever since to fix it.

Chili's and Best Buy were forced to close in the early afternoon while repairs were made.

A representative from Best Buy Corporate said they took on a foot of water in their audio installation bay. Other parts of the store had several inches of water. The representative said they still have to assess the damage to their merchandise.

Employees were able to get out of the store safely and have been relocated to other stores.

Best Buy said customers who placed orders online for pick up at the Tulsa Hills location will be contacted about picking up from another store or having their order shipped. The store rep said if a customer is not able to pick up at another location, their credit card will be refunded.

The store said they are also working with customers who were expecting home theater installation or an appliance delivery.

There are three other locations nearby, including:

  • Best Buy Mingo Marketplace: 10303 E 71st St
  • Best Buy Tulsa: 5520 E Skelly Drive
  • Best Buy Owasso: 9055 N 121st East Ave
