Tulsa group cleared to gather signatures to put medical, recreational pot on November ballot

A Tulsa group supporting legalization of adult use marijuana and medical marijuana will begin collecting signatures May 11 for State Questions 796 and 797 after being cleared by the Oklahoma Secretary of State.

Green the Vote president Isaac Caviness said the group filed petitions Tuesday, April 3 and they have 90 days from May 11 to get all the signatures on the November ballot.

Caviness said they are aiming to take the signatures to the Capitol on August 8.

Caviness said they have to collect 124,000 signatures.

State Question 796 is for medical marijuana use and 797 is for adult use.
