Tulsa fire crews use their new lightweight gear for the first time while putting out a grass fire.
The flames quickly spread near West 41st and Highway 75, which burned a couple of acres before it was put out.
Today the department was issued hundreds of sets of new gear that weigh about half as much as their traditional gear.
The department says the new gear is especially important for hot days like today.
