TULSA -- The Tulsa Fire Department has confirmed that no one was found after a thorough search of Tulsa storm sewers Monday afternoon.
According to Stan May with Tulsa Fire, the department received an unconfirmed report of a child inside a storm sewer near 39th Street and Troost Avenue around 12:15 Monday afternoon.
In total, a rescue task force searched through 1,000 feet of the storm drain, stretching from Riverside to Troost Avenue.
According to the department, evidence was found that someone went down the manhole, though no one was found. Officials say storm drains are very dangerous with low oxygen levels and the potential to drown.
